Each year, in recognition for outstanding performance, YRUSC honors individuals who displayed
excellence and sportsmanship in racing as well as support of the sport of sailing. Trophies are presented at
the YRUSC General Meeting in March based on the nominations for these awards by our member
clubs.

The Deeds of Gifts that define the criteria for the awards are provided, as well as the form for nomination.

The deadline for nominations is February 21, 2001.

    Instructions:
    1. Be sure to include a resume or letter supporting the nominee's qualifications for the selected award.

    A. YACHTSMAN or YACHTSWOMAN: Events; dates; position of finish; position as skipper or crew; class of vessel; volunteer efforts in support of yachting; yachting education and promotion of the Corinthian Yachting Spirit.

    B. YOUTH: Include the same data as required in "A" in addition to information supporting nominee's involvement in the yachting community other than racing. Include information on citizenship, sportsmanship, volunteer efforts to educated others and promotion of the Corinthian Yachting Spirit.

    C. YACHTING SERVICE: Sailing data is optional. Resumes and letters supporting service to the yachting community are a must for this award.

    2. Please check the attached "DEEDS OF GIFT" to insure that all nominees meet
    the criteria status, i.e., residence, amateur status, etc.
